New Longevity BrAIn Ethical Guidelines
The New Longevity Brain (referred to as “Service” "Platform"), an artificial intelligence powered tool designed by Ashoka Innovators for the Public (collectively referred to as “we” “our” “us” “Ashoka”), is dedicated to harnessing collective wisdom to support changemakers in the field of longevity and aging. Our mission is to empower social innovators and key stakeholders to better understand the complex ecosystems in which they operate, ensuring that the solutions and collaborations they design are both effective and impactful. To achieve this, we gather and provide access to reliable expert information, transforming accumulated knowledge into actionable insights that address systemic challenges and scale innovations responding to the opportunities and challenges of aging, whether locally or globally.
To uphold the integrity of this mission, these Ethical Guidelines (“Guidelines”) govern user interactions with our Service, ensuring responsible and respectful use of the Service. These Guidelines are designed to foster a safe and productive environment, enabling the Service to function as a trusted resource for generating meaningful insights and advancing impactful innovations in the field of aging and longevity. For the purposes of these Guidelines, "Output" shall refer to any response, information, insight, or recommendation generated by the Service in response to user interactions.
Users are expected to conduct themselves and engage with the Service in a manner that aligns with the values of inclusivity, respect, and constructive collaboration.
1.User Code of Conduct
a. Users must interact with the Service in a manner that is respectful, professional, and aligned with Ashoka’s mission to advance positive social impact in the field of longevity and aging.
b. Offensive, obscene, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate language or behavior is strictly prohibited. This includes interactions intended to provoke, manipulate, or degrade the quality of the Service.
c. Users must not exploit the Service in ways that undermine its mission or violate ethical principles, including but not limited to:

Manipulating the Service to produce harmful, misleading, or inappropriate Outputs.

Deliberately misusing the Service to create false or defamatory content.

Using the Service to generate material that promotes hate speech, violence, or discrimination.

d. Users must not input or transmit content that:

2. Use of Output by Users
a. The Outputs generated by the Service are intended to support users in advancing informed, actionable, and ethical solutions to support social innovation
b. Outputs should be used to inform constructive actions or decisions that align with the Service’s mission to address challenges in longevity and aging.
c. Users must not use Outputs for illegal, unethical, or harmful purposes, such as:

Misrepresenting Outputs as definitive or infallible, particularly in areas such as healthcare, policy-making, or financial decisions.

Using Outputs to justify actions that may cause harm to individuals, communities, or ecosystems.

d. Users should apply critical judgment and discretion when using Outputs, acknowledging the inherent limitations of AI-generated insights. Outputs are intended as tools to support decision-making and must not replace human expertise or professional advice.
e. When sharing Outputs publicly or within teams, users must:

Attribute the insights to the Service while noting its role as a supportive resource rather than a definitive authority.
3. Inclusivity and Accessibility

The Service is designed to support diverse perspectives and equitable practices. Users must engage with the Service in ways that promote inclusivity, recognizing the varied needs and experiences of different communities, particularly those affected by aging-related challenges.

Outputs and insights generated by the Service should be applied in ways that bridge gaps in access to resources, information, and opportunities for marginalized or underserved populations.

4. Monitoring and Compliance

Users who violate these Guidelines may face corrective actions, including temporary or permanent suspension of access to the Service.
